Overview:
We are seeking an experienced and strategic Head of IT engineering to lead the technology initiatives within our global fast-growing business. This senior-level position requires a forward-thinking leader with the ability to oversee IT operations, ensure the effective implementation of technological solutions, and drive innovation to support long-term growth and objectives.
Key Job Responsibilities
1.Develop and execute the technical strategy in alignment with the overall business goals and objectives, focusing on growth, scalability, and operational efficiency.
2.Oversee the technology team, including recruitment, training, and performance management, to inspire high levels of productivity.
3.Responsible for architectural and technical decision-making to improve system architecture and processes
Role Qualification and Requirements
1.Bachelor’s degree and above in Computer Science or a related field;
2.At least 10 years of experience in technical management, including overseeing multiple teams.
3.Solid experience in systems architecture – particularly familiar with e-commerce or trading business system.
4.Proficient in Java development and commonly used application frameworks. Expert level understanding of JVM and either Java or Scala.
5.Familiar with data structures, multi-threaded programming, and common design patterns; Be familiar with containerization technologies such as Docker, have a deep understanding of high concurrency;
6.A global perspective and strong cross-cultural communication skills, with proficiency in English.
7.Excellent problem-solving abilities and strategic thinking, adept at formulating long-term strategies in a dynamic environment.
Qualifications
• Previously Technical Account Management, Technical Operation, Product Manager, or similar experience in a client-facing role
• Technical understanding of modern web integrations using XML, data transfer, data integrity and security, and payment and data processing compliancy good practices
• Account manager in Hospitality or Travel Industry, B2B or B2C distribution is a plus
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Good organizational, process, and project management skills
• Strong communication/interpersonal skills; experience dealing with multiple international partners, as well as clients
• A flexible, hands-on approach with strong initiative and motivation to work in a constantly changing environment
• Bachelor’s degree, possibly in Computer Science or Engineering or applicable work experience
• Fluency in written and spoken English, plus at least one other language: French, Italian and/or Spanish
Job Scope
• Work with various internal teams owning sophisticated projects to ensure excellent APIs service and support for our partners.
• Take care of partner/client relationship with regional key accounts
• Provide long-term technical relationship management, including regular contact to review upgrades, upcoming releases and health of integration and processes
• Serve as technical relationship contact, coordinate plans and solutions with partner teams, such as connectivity account management and tier 2 integration support as needed
• Keep pulse on integration projects, serving as partner concern point
• Develop processes and systems to provide quick and detailed responses to internal and external client requests and requirements
• Perform analysis and research to provide creative solutions to technical problems
• Help plan global capacity. Gather product requirements globally for internal teams to ensure product is an excellent fit for all users; provide feedback as a technical resource for future integration strategies and long-range planning
